Vets to Vets is a fellowship for combat veterans to share their experiences, testimonies of healing, compassion and hope in overcoming the invisible wounds of war. Veterans can suffer from one or many of the following - survivor’s guilt, separation anxiety, emotional numbing, adrenaline seeking, depression, anxiety, insomnia, alcohol and substance abuse, PTSD and traumatic brain injury.

Vets to Vets offers support to the combat veteran through peer mentoring. The group coaches and supports veterans to find healing, balance, and positive re-integration with their family and society.

Vets to Vets also connects veterans with local resources, as well as education state and federal benefits.

Participants are required to be military combat veterans and be willing to face the challenges of managing post-traumatic stress and related conditions.

For more information, please contact Mike Valila at michael.valila@heywood.org or call (978) 630-6311.

This group is made possible by the support of the Montachusett Suicide Prevention Task Force.
